Shares in Sondex have moved to new highs recently, but are still only at a small premium to the price at which they joined the Full List in June '03. At that time, the group's mainstay was the  design and production of a range of down-hole logging and inspection equipment for the oil and gas industry.Two things have been driving the recent share price strength. The first is a rising appreciation that stronger oil prices have made it increasingly important for operators to maximise recovery, extend the production life of their existing assets and reduce operating costs. The second is the acquisition last month of Geolink, a world leader in directional drilling equipment, which has substantially enhanced earnings.< ...
