 Historically, Business Post's mainstay has been as a UK-based parcels carrier. The group was founded by brothers Peter and Michael Kane in 1971 and the Kane family still retain 64.3% of the equity.  The shares once hit 957p during the "dot com" frenzy when it was expected to be a  beneficiary of  next day deliveries from e-tailers. That excitement has subsided and less than 20 per cent of revenues now come from technology sector consignments. At the expense of Royal Mail's Parcelforce, which continues to haemmorhage cash (lost £94m last year), Business Post and its rivals, Hays and Citylink (Rentokil), are taking market share.  At the heart of Business Post's infrastructure are 1,2 ...
