The latest H1 shows Photo-Me’s operations in Continental Europe and Asia (including Japan) are continuing to grow but the UK became more challenging reflecting the slowdown in consumer activity as a result of Brexit and also the fact that more people have been using their phones to take passport selfies.As it was, adjusted pretax profit was up 7% to £28.5m on revenue +3.3% to £123.9m. Stripping out the positive contribution from the Sempa acquisition (fruit juice machinery), revenues grew 0.4% (-1.4% at constant FX).
