SSP Group - Airport units benefit from inbound volumes

SSPG, the leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations worldwide, has reported excellent results and topped things off with another special dividend (32.5p to be paid in March) on top of the ordinary 10.2p dividend. Outbound travel volumes in the UK might have been lower but SSP’s retail units at airports benefited from the pound weakening after the 2016 Brexit vote, which made it a more attractive holiday destination for foreign tourists. It has also been rapidly adding new units in North America, the Asia Pacific and India, where it has small market shares.
