SDI, the consolidator of scientific instrumentation firms, has just reported outstanding interims and with management indicating that it hopes to acquire at least one other company before the financial year-end, another upgrade is likely. Cash generated from operations doubled to £1.5m leaving net cash at £0.9m so it’s well placed for deals.As it was, H1 sales were up 23% to £8m, of which 11% was organic and 12% from acquisitions. Adjusted pretax profit and eps were up 32% and 14% at £1.5m and 1.1p, respectively.
