TIG has completed the long awaited acquisition of EMaC, one of the UK’s motor service plan specialists, for £36m upfront with another £10m based on future performance. We had flagged up an entry into this space back in the June issue.Founded in 2004, EMaC administers car dealer and manufacturer service plans and counts on behalf of several motor manufacturers and car dealership brands. It opens up an attractive adjacent market for TIG and will provide a platform on which to build a motor service and warranty business.
