Empresaria has announced its first acquisition for some time. It is buying a 75% interest in Ball and Hoolahan, a UK-based recruiter to the marketing industry. B&H places predominantly permanent marketing candidates from its office in central London and complements Become, the group’s digital, creative and IT business and throws up scope for cross-selling. Empresaria is paying up to £1.5m. As has been the case previously, the B&H managing director is left with the 25% minority stake and when he begins to perform he can swap it for a stake in Empresaria.
