Pressure Technologies - Riding positive super trend in deep sea exploration

The shares have been on a tear following full year results to end September, which has been supplemented with a nice bolt on acquisition. Results themselves were better than expected with record sales up 13% to £34.4m, pretax profit up 65% to £3.3m and adjusted eps up 80% to 22.4p. Divisionally, Chesterfield Special Cylinders, which supplies air pressure vessel systems (APVs) for deep water rigs, was the big swing factor. Its sales grew by 6% to £17.3m with operating profit up 56% to £3.6m. A hungry market for APVs has spurred a flurry of new build activity in ultra-deep water rigs capable of operating in 3,000m water depths.
