Another month, another Indian film breaks box office records. This month was the turn of the â€œ3 Idiotsâ€ although not one from the film house of Eros. That said, shares in Eros (EROS; 168p) have finally sprung to life after it issued a draft prospectus and details of its planned fundraising and listing of its Indian subsidiary, Eros International Media Ltd (EIML), on the Bombay Stock Exchange. The listing will raise US$75m for the subsidiary and is likely to result in around 25% of the subsidiary being sold through a book building exercise by Enam, Kotak, Morgan Stanley and RBS. EIML owns the rights to over 1,000 primarily Hindi language films and will use the money to acquire and co-produce further film rights. As we said last ...
