Superglass is the UK’s second largest manufacturer of glass wool insulation and supplies over 60,000 tonnes of insulation a year including glass wool, which is blown into domestic cavity walls and other cured products that come in the form of slabs and are used on rafters.Last month, we highlighted Alistair Darling's pre-budget report to provide £100m of new money and £50m of brought forward money to help people insulate their homes. With energy prices having been at all time highs for most of last year, energy efficiency and reducing wastage have been increasingly pertinent topics so even before the latest government commitment, spend on insulation was rising.
