Renesola - Shares up 50% on the month

Renesola shares are up an eyepopping 50% this month after twosignificant developments. The first was a long-term sales contract withJA Solar, a solar cell manufacturer, to supply 600MW of siliconcrystalline wafers over a five year period beginning in June. Thesecond development was that Renesola has signed a tolling productioncontract (where the customer will supply the raw polysilicon andguarantee to take the finished product) for processing 500 tonnes ofpolysilicon to be delivered in 2008, which is sufficient for around60MW of wafers. Separately, Renesola has entered into contracts toprocure 1,000 tonnes of feedstock this year, sufficient for another120MW of wafers.
