Vega - second wind comes from defence business

Vega has reported H1 results to 31 October in line with expectations. Revenues were well ahead at £30.6m, up 25%, (organic 20%) and pretax profit was up 20% to £2.0m. Earnings lifted 7% to 6.2p. These were the first results in a new segmental reporting of the three divisions of aerospace, defence and government, all of which showed double digit growth. Overall, margins were maintained at 7.0%. Aerospace was the largest part of the group with sales of £15.6m and now includes Vega’s activities in space and the wider aerospace market.
