In an apparent flashback to the dotcom days, there have been sharp moves in shares of some of the online retailers. This time round, however, companies are backed by solid profitability. One such is Cambridge-based Abcam (ABC; 254p) which sells antibodies to scientists. As any schoolboy will tell you, antibodies are proteins produced by mammals in response to a foreign body and their ability to recognise and bind to certain types of molecules makes them one of the mainstays of biological research.
