First half results were better than expected with pretax profit up 22% to £18m and would have been higher still if not for a £1.3m currency loss. Eps on a 37% tax charge was 3.1p.  Turnover was broadly similar at £117.7m, with the vending business reporting sales of £76.5, down 3.3%, whilst the manufacturing side rose 8% to £41.2m.
