A business with its origins supplying point-of-sale kitchen design software for retailers may seem an unusual choice as a growth share investment. That was Planit's old core business  but the key to its growth has been a move to broaden the base of the company into software for computer aided manufacture (CAM)The move has been orchestrated by chief executive, Trevor Semadeni and Planit now dominates both the market for designing fitted kitchens and design-to-manufacture software of cabinets. Three acquisitions have also established a position in metal working which form a third leg and Semadeni has signalled that these are just the first of a stream of acquisitions to help fulfil Planit's ambition of being a leading supplier ...
