Somewhat soft news from SDRY. H1 has been preannounced with sales +3.6% to £287m within which stores +14.3%, online +1.6% and wholesale -5.2% so there was nothing unexpected there. But turning to the latest 9 weeks to 31 December, sales were +4.5%. Within that, stores had powered back to 2019 levels. Despite a Q1 lag in European store performance, Retail stormed ahead +24.9% (stores +18.8% and online +33.4%). Wholesale was, however, a miss and caused the negative share price reaction with sales down 57%. This, of course, is only 9 weeks and picture painted was one of "reduced COVID-related confidence" and shipment timings will reverse in H2 - and I suspect much of wholesaler reluctance to take stock was driven by wholesalers waiting fo ...
