Like Shoe Zone, Card Factory, the UK's leading specialist retailer of greeting cards, has had its second MASSIVE upgrade within two months. Nice to have made the shares a main buy in SCSW last June at 63.5p. The latest upgrade follows strong Christmas trading. Sales for the 11 months to end December were £432.6m and EBITDA for the year to 31 January is now guided to be “at least £106m versus consensus of £96.9m” with pretax profit of £48.6m, which is a whopping 26% ahead of previous guidance and even 32% ahead of the upgrades that followed mid-November’s update.
