Shares in Midlands-based AFH Financial, a wealth management business, have been climbing higher since September’s announcement of a self imposed moratorium on new acquisitions and the decision to instead pay down debt.Helped by the acquisition of eight small independent financial advisors (IFAs) during 2019, latest results show that FUM - ‘funds under management’ - reached £6.2bn in October 2019, up from £4.4bn the year before. Excluding acquisitions there was 8% organic net flows. Overall this gave rise to sales up 47% to £74.3m.
