The Buy note in December’s issue was well timed with the shares jumping for joy, nay euphoria, after Oldham-based UPGS issued a trading update that said the positive momentum it referenced in its full year results statement in November had continued with strong growth across each of its four strategic pillars (i.e. discounters, UK supermarkets, online platforms and international customers). As a result, it expects performance in FY19 to be ahead of market expectations.In the light of the statement, Shore Capital has upgraded its pretax profit forecast from £5.8m to £6.5m, with eps lifted from 5.3p to 5.9p.
