GVC, the online gaming business, was a total unknown with non regulated gaming businesses in Turkey when SCSW alighted on it back in Feb ‘14 at 353p (333.9p adjusted for special dividends).Last month it finally came of age and put itself firmly on the map with the disposal of the Turkish activities, which have always cast a shadow over the shares and it instead launched a bid for Ladbrokes Coral, the UK’s biggest high street bookmaker, valuing Ladbrokes Coral at between £3.2bn and £4bn.The offer comprises 32.7p in cash, 0.141 GVC shares and a contingent entitlement of up to a further 42.8 pence for each Ladbroke share.
