Quantum Pharma was founded in 2004 by two accountants, former chief executive Andrew Scaife and former finance director Martin Such. They launched the company as a supplier of unlicensed medicinal products known as “specials,” which are prescribed by a doctor for a number of chronic conditions and prepared when a licensed product is not available on the market.
