Lavendon - Results due 27 February

The shares initially went over 200p, helped by news that Lavendon is on track to deliver on market expectations (Â£29.8m pretax, 8% growth). An improving revenue trend has been seen in the UK (-4%) which accounts for almost half of sales â€œand is starting to gather momentumâ€ in prices, margins and volumes helped by an improvement in demand for larger bits of kit. The Middle East has improved (+21%) despite increasing employment regulation; France is faring better (+7%) whilst Germany is still the bÃªte noir (-13%) although the various old IT systems have been ditched, which will help to improve workpatterns going forward.
