Ahead of results on 11 March, Flying Brands said that Q4 trading for Flying Brands in the peak Christmas trading period were in line with expectations, whilst a realigned cost base will mean it will beat market forecasts.The update confirmed that the Flying Brands business has completed the move of its packing and dispatch operations from Jersey to the UK. The move to the UK also means the loss of Jersey's "low value consignment reliefâ€. However, Flying Brands has not yet sought to recoup VAT in its pricing structures and the main reason for the improved margins is that Flying Brands has run fewer advertising campaigns and has instead focused on selling to existing customers.
