Jetion has issued a trading update confirming that results next month will demonstrate a strong year despite a difficult Q4. Total output of solar cells in FY08 was 65.3MW up from 35.2MW last year. Of these, the vast majority or 43.3MW were transformed into modules, a higher proportion versus last year, which should boost margins.In addition Jetion has managed to make its cells more efficient with average conversion efficiency (the amount of sunlight converted directly into electricity) increasing to 16.8% from 16.5%.   Jetion ended the year with a solar cell manufacturing capacity of 100MW and cell-to-module capacity was 60MW.
