Eaga has reported a solid set of H1 results to 30 November with pretax profit up 12% to Â£21.7m on sales up 10% to Â£339m. Adjusted eps was up 15% to 6.1p.These results saw a strong performance on all sides of the business. The managed services side, essentially a BPO type business managing the Warm Front fuel poverty programme for the government and the Digital Switchover scheme for the BBC, saw revenue reduce by 11% to Â£192.3m, although margins were maintained at 2.1%.The decline in this divisionâ€™s turnover may seem at odds to the widely publicised increased commitment from the government to tackle fuel poverty but the previous year had seen a temporary peak in Warm Front funding levels.
