Hitachi Capital has issued a statement which said that whilst it has continued to deliver encouraging results in Q3 from its largest and most profitable division, vehicle solutions, the business finance division has again experienced a mishap. This time it has been affected by the demise of one of its long standing customers (Transrent), a trailer rental business where administrators have been appointed. Hitachi has a number of charges over the trailers but owing to the depressed state of the trailer rental market, it has been unable to receive an acceptable price for the equipment.
