Ahead of reporting results on 14 March, NSB has issued a trading update. This said it expects to report an operating profit for the year to 31 December of at least £9.3m (before exceptionals) which should equate to eps of around 2.2p. The exceptionals should relate to some redundancies to improve the revenue-per-head ratio, a provision to cover surplus property as well as a pension related charge. Trading wise, Q4 saw “a number of significant contract wins” with the software order intake in 2005 being more than 20% ahead of 2004.
