Financial Objects has acquired another of the software sector’s living dead. It is buying Raft for £4m, a supplier of risk management software which has been on the block for a while having unsuccessfully attempted to sell itself to Sunguard a year ago. This time the deal is cut and dried with irrevocable undertakings to accept the offer in respect of 64.2% of Raft’s issued capital. Financial Objects is paying for Raft in a mixture of cash, shares and loan notes.
