Parkwood - Bullish on prospects

Established in 1992, shares in business support services group, Parkwood (PKW; 61p), have recently burst into life. This follows a trading statement issued last month which said that profit before tax for the year will beat expectations. Parkwood is a classic example of a company that seems to be close to working out its problems, although it has disappointed often. It spent much of the last four years winding down a number of loss making contracts in its former landscape construction area and more recently has been tackling cost overruns on fixed price contracts within its non core outsourced non-emergency ambulance service in London and Essex.
