Metal  Bulletin has  issued a  pre-close period update ahead of results for the year ended 31 December 2003 being announced on 29 March. Trading for the year as a whole was in line with expectations across the three divisions; Financial Information, Metals & Minerals Information and Commodities & Energy.  Overall sales are up 4% on 2002 despite the weak currency. The financial information side, which publishes macro-economic research, experienced a strong performance from BCA (Bank Credit Analyst) and triggered a full earnout for the year.
