TJ's has delivered an outstanding Christmas performance with sales for the six weeks to 5 January increasing by 39% overall or 12.1% on a like-for-like basis. Over the 23 weeks to 5 January,  total sales were ahead 31% against the same period last year and 6.7% up on a like-for-like basis. TJ said that the strong growth inlike-for-like sales arose from a combination of new marketinginitiatives, improved merchandising and an improved retail market. Still no word on the expected MBO.
