Nord Anglia - Sees "busy period" for education services

At the AGM on 10 January, chairman, Kevin McNeany, reported a "busy period" for the education services division, where the pipeline of contracts is large and growing. Nord now maintains a core bid team to handle bidding on potential new contracts and has recently strengthenedthe division's senior management. The pipeline includesvarious small but high margin partnership contracts with LEAs. It alsoincludes two large PPP contracts with Essex and Surrey Local EducationAuthorities where Nord is bidding jointly with Amey (each contractworth £50m; expected to be awarded in 2003) as well as two MODcontracts in the defence-training field in partnership with Jarvis(Welbeck College and Omani MOD; each worth c.£3m).
