Established in 1993, Accrol (ACRL; 31p) operates two purpose-built facilities in Blackburn and Leicester, specializing in the production of toilet rolls, kitchen towels and facial tissues. The company supplies its products to discounters and supermarkets under their own labels, serving notable customers such as Aldi, Lidl, B&M and Home Bargains; in recent years it has been the supermarkets’ aggressive move into supplying own brand toilet paper and tissue that has seen top end ‘luxury’ brands, such as Andrex and Kimberley Clarke, progressively lose market share.
