Judges Scientific - To exceed market expectations - two upgrades in one month

With 85%+ of Judges’ sales for export, the weakness of sterling has made its scientific equipment cheaper for overseas buyers and this helped Judges report superlative H1 results.Sales were up 13% to a record £37m (this includes a full contribution from Oxford Cryosystems and excluding that, organic growth was 5.7%). Adjusted pretax profit and eps were also records, both up 50% to £6.6m and 83.4p, respectively, although Judges says that this was an unusually strong H1 and it is unlikely to witness the usual H2 seasonal bias.
