Shares in NAHL fell out of bed after the Chancellor’s Spending Review proposed changes that remove the right to claim general damages for ‘minor’ whiplash injuries. In future, claimants who say they are suffering from whiplash after minor car bumps will be offered physiotherapy and treatment by their insurers instead. Those who sustain serious whiplash injuries will still be able to claim. At the same time claims up to £5,000 can go through the small claims court.
