The shares have been on an uptrend since last month’s earnings enhancing acquisition of Kx. This month’s interims have also been well received with sales up 9% to £37.5m and pretax profit up 18% to £4.5m despite currency headwinds. Adjusted eps was 16.5p (2013: 15.7p). Net debt at the period end reduced to £9.1m (£15m) helped by the sale of a further three surplus flats, which First Derivatives used to previously house consultants during assignments (10 remain).Consulting recorded another solid period, with revenues up 19% to £27.7m helped by new client wins and further growth in consultant numbers.
