£10 - what took you so long? First Derivatives soared after its interims to 31 August. Sales were up 25% to £34.4m. Pretax profit was held back by a £0.9m step change in sales and marketing spend plus costs associated with new overseas offices - coming in at £3m versus £3.5m - but the benefits will be felt in H2 with brokers expecting H2 to be some 50% ahead of H1. Software and transactional revenues went up 46% to £11m and the outlook for its software, which addresses "Big Data" challenges, has never been better.
