We have finally touched base with chief executive, Diana Hunter, following our main write up last month.The biggest bit of new information is that Conviviality has completed the portfolio management of the existing franchised estate and is now moving to a growth phase of store roll-out. Excitingly, Hunter talks about the recent acquisition of the Wine Rack as attracting a more affluent consumer. The brand has been re-engineered into a franchised model (to be launched before Christmas) and spearheads expansion in London and the South East (as well as well-heeled locations such as York and Wimslow) alongside the core Bargain Booze brand, most of which will continue being rolled-out in the North West heartland.
