Scapa's interims were in line, showing sales up 5% or £4.6m to £103m. This included a contribution of £12.1m from Webtec, the healthcare tapes business acquired in December. This more than made up for sales shortfalls on the other side of its business and with margins, that are almost twice as high as the other parts, pretax profit increased 30% to £6.5m and eps by 39% to 2.5p.The shining star was healthcare, which including Webtec delivered £28m sales, up from £16m.
