A good month for the shares after JD reported like-for-like sales growth of +1.5% for the sixteen weeks to 17 November. Within this, the picture remains broadly unchanged to that reported at the interims, with Sports Fascias seeing good growth (+3.5%), although Fashion Fascias was slightly disappointing (-6.6%) in what remains a tough sub-sector. We made JD a NAP in the January issue largely following the acquisition of rival Blacks and under new management is making progress on the turnaround plan.JD still has the important peak Christmas period although the expectation is that it will meet market expectations of eps of c.109p for the year.
