Another retailer to post a soft trading performance in recent weeks highlighting that the average shopper spent less in the past two months than they did in the same period last year. French Connection said it had however maintained a full price stance in Q3 but like-for-likes fell 9.5%. But the outlook isn't entirely bleak as it also expects customers to heavily shop in its December and January sales so some of the shortfall will be recovered in Q4. Numis has reduced its forecast to Â£5.8m pretax and eps of 4.9p for the year to end January, with Â£6.7m pretax and 5p next year.
