Xaar is a manufacturer of inkjet components but don't go looking for its technology in your deskjet printer. Most of what the company presently makes is used in printers in the industrial, packaging and advertising markets.The firm's inkjet technology derives from a development project undertaken almost 20 years ago by a Cambridge firm of consultants working on behalf of an American company to develop a page wide printhead.
