In a trading statement, Financial Objects said it expects profit for the year to 31 December to be ahead of market expectations (before exceptional costs and goodwill). ABN Amro has lifted its forecast by £0.1m to £0.9m pretax for the full year to 31 December, for eps of 2.5p. But that is before an exceptional charge of £0.5m that mostly relates to a charge for terminating the lease relating to WMS’ head office, which completes the restructuring following that acquisition. Trading has been strong in all three divisions; wholesale banking, retail banking and wealth management systems. Net cash at the year end is likely to be £2.3m.
