IMImobile has announced the £42.8m acquisition (£34.7m cash plus 2.57m new shares) of US based 3CInteractive. This is big news for IMImobile as North America is its biggest market and it will add critical mass to the acquisition of Canada based Impact Mobile a year ago (it means a quarter of enlarged sales are now in the US). To help fund the upfront element, the company has placed up to 6.5m new shares at 310p to raise £20.3m.Like IMImobile, 3C is a communications-platform-as-a-service company and provides messaging and mobile marketing services to 25 strategic and 250 commercial enterprise customers.
