Having issued a full year trading update last month, there weren’t many surprises when the final results emerged, apart from a very pleasant one in the form of another special dividend (25p ex 12 Oct) alongside the full year dividend (31.2p ex 13 July). Overall a reassuring update with a pickup in trading since Q4 but a slight wobble for the shares due to the founder Julian Dunkerton placing some of his shares at 1280p.As it was, sales were up 16% to £872m and pretax profit before exceptional items (provisions on a bum store in Germany and FX) by 12% to £97m.
