The shares went sharply higher after FairFX said H1 had seen substantial growth with sales up 146% to £1.1bn including the acquisitions of Cardone Banking and City Forex. On a like-for-like basis, excluding acquisitions, turnover was up 23% driven by prepaid cards up 9% to £181.7m and international payments up 39% to £334.6m. With growth momentum continuing to build, scale economies kicking in and SME forex/banking launched successfully, the board reiterated its confidence in achieving market expectations for a massive jump in profits for the full year. Cenkos forecasts £7.7m pretax profit this year and £16.2m next. Corresponding eps is 4.9p and 9.1p. Strong hold. ...
