Alpha FX has seen strong H1 sales of c.£9.6m, up 50%. This reflects strong growth in the core UK corporate market and a strong start for the institutional division, which launched in March (team of seven in the institutional team). At the same time, the recruitment of a number of staff that are fluent in foreign languages has enabled Alpha to steadily expand into selected European territories from the London office. International revenues mean that it will in future be able to start “matching” FX trades.Despite this step change in headcount with the sales team growing ahead of expectations, pretax profit/eps forecasts are left at £8.3m/21p this year ending December with £10m/24.5p next year.
