The shares have been flying after Horizon announced a placing together with the large US acquisition of Dharmacon from GE for US$85m (£65m), comprising US$50m cash and 13m new shares (equivalent to 8.8% of the enlarged equity). To pay for the deal and additional working capital it has placed 39m new shares at 205p to raise £76.4m after costs.Dharmacon manufactures RNA interference (RNAi)  products, which can be used to suppress problematic genes and has a fast growing gene editing product portfolio, especially in CRISPR reagents and arrayed libraries.Like Horizon these are products used by academics and drugs companies in the search for cures for diseases such as cancer and Alzheimer’s. In 20 ...
