Topps has reported an excellent Q3 with like-for-like sales up 6.2% accelerating on the +4.4% reported for Q1 and +4.9% for Q2. During Q3, Topps opened six stores and is trading from 348 including 15 Boutiques. Its plan remains for 400 stores (including 40 Boutiques) and it should benefit from planned B&Q and Homebase closures.  Peel Hunt forecasts £21.9m pretax profit/eps 8.8p for the year ending September with £24.1m/9.7p next year. 75% of costs are said to be sterling-based so FX isn’t too much of an issue.
