ETO hit 190p at one point (although pulled back sharply in the market rout) after it issued a very positive Q1 update, usually its quiet one. Revenues increased 5% on a constant currency basis driven by the film side.  The film side has seen revenues up a third, helped by 36 new releases including Source Code, The Tree of Life, Potiche and Scream 4. At the same time, the backlist is selling well and there has also been a positive contribution from Hopscotch, which was bought in May. Looking forward, ETO has secured its release slate for FY12 after significant acquisition activity at Cannes.
